• Lindsey and Ami (whom I have just met): [a thoughtful five minute conversation about documentaries]
• Me: I'm so excited for the Katy Perry documentary.
• Ami: Okay -- do you mind if I ask you -- why do you like her?
• Me: [a monologue]
• -- later --
• Me: And the whole thing about how she's not a feminist figure because she wears outfits that shoot whipped cream out of her titties? That's the whole point of feminism. That she can wear whatever the fuck she wants and be a valid artist with a point of view and something to say. Pink and cupcakes don't negate your humanity, ya know?

• Ami: I could see that. Yeah.
